Theme Browser
I’m been blown away by the number of themes submitted to the Theme Competition - frankly it’s a little difficult to view them all just using the theme switcher. Because of this, I’ve created a Theme Browser to make it easier to view and download the themes.

Very nice. It seems to be very slow loading pages though, and sometimes needs an extra try to get it to work.
I’m in Safari.

Heavy server load today. Theme switching is rather resource intensive with this many themes due to the implementation of the theme switcher.

EVERYONE will win, Jeff. There are no losers. The designers get to showcase their talents and contribute to the WP community and the WP Users hit a bonanza with all these themes to choose from!
I’ve been licking my chops in anticipation of finally migrating to 1.5 and the array of themes available surely sweetens the pot!

I’m having trouble using the gallery.
i’m using Firefox 1.0.2 and no themes get applied.
i also tried IE, and it would only show me one theme and then wouldn’t switch to any other.

Brian, did you try clearing your cache? Firefox seemd to be notorious for this behavior! HTH.

Seems to be working just finee for me. Thanks again for setting this up Alex. Gave me the opportunity to better understand the inner workings of WP.
I submitted 2 to you on Friday via email. Did you get them? Just makin sure…

The themes browser is a very welcome addition, made browsing the themes MUCH easier!!!

Excellent! Very nice for browsing through what is rapidly becoming an encyclopedia of WP themes. I’m assuming they’re all 1.5 suitable and am very impressed both with the scope and availability of themes AND the new browser.

What would be really nice is to have the ability to browse thumbnails of the various themes, that way it would be easy to find themes you have already looked at again.

If you’d like to take screenshots of each theme (please name the screenshot the same as the download), I’d be happy to add a view to the Theme Browser.
